Janine Thompson Counselling and Psychotherapy provides professional counselling services to adults, seniors and families living in British Columbia. Janine offers in-person services in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna area, or online counselling to individuals and families living in B.C.
All counselling services are strictly confidential and are provided by Janine, a qualified and experienced counsellor with a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in clinical counselling. Janine strives to provide a safe, open, inclusive, non-discriminatory space for all people.
Professional counselling and psychotherapy services provided online use a secure web-based platform. Phone appointments are also available.
Janine is qualified to provide counselling for many issues including:
- anxiety and depression: many people experience anxiety and depression at different points in their lives for a variety of reasons
- life-stage transitions: there are many benchmark stages in life that can be both exciting and overwhelming
- low self-esteem: sometimes we forget we are as capable as others
- trauma survivors: the pain of the past can sometimes interfere with the present
- parenting struggles: there is no one size fits all for raising children
- relationship and family conflicts: sometimes we get locked into patterns of communication that can be difficult to break
- grief and loss: sometimes we lose people in our life and other times the feeling of loss comes from a life not lived
